  10. 2 cup wheat flour
  11. 1 pinch salt

  14. Oil for frying
  15. For chana
  16. 200 gm black chana
  17. 6-8 cups water
  18. 1/2 pinch asafetida
  19. 1 tsp cumin seed
  20. 1 tsp coriander powder
  21. 1 tsp red chili powder
  22. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  23. 2 tsp dried mango powder
  24. Salt to taste
  25. 1 tsp garam masala
  26. 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  1. For halwa
  2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add semolina and keeping the heat low, roast it for 10-15 minutes till it's color changes from white to light brown
  3. In another pan add 2cup water and crushed cardamom, boil it and add sugar, aa the sugar melts turn off the stove.

  12. Wash and soak black chana in 8cups of water for 6hrs Or overnight. Cook for 6 whistels with a tsp of salt and water. Remove from heat and set aside.
  13. Heat oil in a pan, add asafetida, cumin seeds,saute for 1 minutes keep low heat.
  14. Add all spices and salt on the side of the pan and quickly mix them in oil.
  15. Add boiled chana along with remaining water, cook for 15 - 20 minutes on low heat till all water evaporates and spices and salt mixed with channa.
  16. Remove from heat. Serve hot with halwa and poori.
